INTERPRETATION:
In these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings;

ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY:
7 DAYS RETURN GUARANTEE:
There may be the case where no amount of cleaning can fix a problem area in your property. In this instance, the 7 Days Return Guarantee is void, after a cleaning attempt has been made. Examples of this include:
Builders Clean
Progress Payment Policy: Coastal Fresh Cleaning requires progress payments at 7 day intervals to ensure a healthy flow of business activity. Please respect this policy by making the associated progress payments by the due date.
Private Customer Policy: Coastal Fresh Cleaning requires a 50% deposit for private clients. Private clients are determined as those who do not hold an ABN & Australian builders license.
Cancelations Policy: If Coastal Fresh Cleaning are required to pack-up or are unable to complete their task for reasons out of our control (i.e trades still working) we reserve the right to charge as a variation for the cost of the inconvenience. This in cases can be the travel time, setup, pack down and opportunity cost of each staff member inconvenienced.
Workspace Policy: Coastal Fresh Cleaning requires a clean run of workspace where each trade has completed their respective task enabling our team to clean without interference. Failure to provide a completed workspace may result in variations, if the trades are deemed to lower the efficiency of our team.
Exclusions Policy: No allowances have been made for removal of excessive residue left by poor tradesman-ship, this includes but is not limited to silicone, paint, render, concrete and mortar. In the event of excessive residue the supervisor will be notified for revision if additional time is required to remove such residue. This may result in variations to the initial quote.
Damage Policy: Coastal Fresh Cleaning takes no responsibility for damage to property including but not limited to joinery, floors, walls, windows or window frames as a result of the cleaning process. Coastal Fresh Cleaning exercise extreme caution and have preventative measures to protect property from damages, in most cases damages are caused by removal of excessive residue. Coastal Fresh Cleaning uses extreme caution when cleaning ‘toughened glass’, ‘comfortplus’ and similar glass. From professional experience excessive residue is the main cause for glass damages, examples concrete splash backs, grinding hot metal, carelessness when moving near glass with tools, over spraying paint, early removal of glass protection, glue and silicone residues. Coastal Fresh Cleaning uses measures to minimise damage however takes no responsibility for the damage caused. Glass should always be protected from installation and protection should be removed by the window cleaner.
Coastal Fresh Cleaning provides a prompt and timely experience both with the services we provide and our administrative affairs. It is for this reason we encourage you to meet your due date disclosed in your invoice to avoid penalties.
Coastal Fresh Cleaning may, at its discretion, seek and recover from the Customer, and the Customer agrees to pay:
Any costs and expenses incurred in collecting or attempting to collect any amounts that are not paid by the Customer when due, including outsourcing to a debt collection agency, their fees and legal costs, and solicitor fees on a solicitor/client basis
Interest on all overdue invoices of 5% per month from the date of an unpaid invoice
Without prejudice to either parties’ rights under and relevant legislations in Queensland Australian regulations, both parties agree that:
In the event that we are unable to get sign off on the day of finishing the work, if Coastal Fresh Cleaning do not receive a written dispute within 3 working days, it will be considered that work has been completed to satisfaction.
In the event that we receive a dispute within the nominated time, the Customer and Coastal Fresh Cleaning will initially use all reasonable endeavours to resolve any dispute arising under the agreement within 10 business Days of a party being advised by written notice of such a dispute.
In the event that the parties are unable to resolve the dispute within the timeframe specified, the parties may either agree to refer the matter to mediation or some other form of alternative dispute resolution or commence collections and/or legal proceedings
To the extent possible, both parties shall continue to comply with their obligations under the Terms and Conditions, whilst dispute is being addressed by the procedure as set out here.
Nothing in this agreement shall prevent Coastal Fresh Cleaning from seeking injunctive relief at any time if it is deemed necessary by Coastal Fresh Cleaning
Coastal Fresh Cleaning usually works on at least (7 business days) notice for commencement of work, to allocate sufficient resources. If Coastal Fresh Cleaning receives a request for work less than (3 business days’ notice) Coastal Fresh Cleaning reserves the right to request payment of (50%) deposit on their quote, to be able to reschedule current works to provide the service on short notice.
The Customer, by agreeing to proceed with the work will be seen as accepting the above Terms and Conditions.
1)Agreement:
By signing a contract with Coastal Fresh Cleaning, you are signing a legally binding contract for work to be completed at an agreed-upon price. In the event that you break this contract, all deposits made to the business shall be surrendered as damages.
2) Product Warranties:
All warranties are limited to those offered by the manufacturers of the products used. Coastal Fresh Cleaning makes no additional warranties. If you ever have a concern regarding our work, Coastal Fresh Cleaning should be notified immediately.
3) Water Usage:
By signing this agreement, you agree to provide Coastal Fresh Cleaning the right to use an on-site water supply as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior water supply is required, it will be at an additional charge. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. Additional charges will be applied if water is not available.
4) Electrical Usage:
By signing this agreement, you agree to provide Coastal Fresh Cleaning the right to use an on-site source of electricity as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior source is required it will be at an additional charge.
5) Color and Tone Concerns:
The properties and species of wood age and weather can greatly affect the resulting color or tone of the stain. Note: Variances may occur on individual boards as well as the total project, as densities and other characteristics vary across and throughout the wood. Coastal Fresh Cleaning and its associates attempt to represent the final finish color and tones as best as possible. While we can often give you an idea of the overall color or tone you must expect some variance in the overall finish.
6) Courtesy:
While Coastal Fresh Cleaning is on location and performing work on your property, you
are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals away from the work area. Children and pets must be kept off the work surface for at least 24 hours after our work is completed. This is for your safety as well as our own.
7) Payments:
Payments to Coastal Fresh Cleaning are due as per the contract schedule and are to be paid by check or cash. All balances are ALWAYS due upon completion of the job. Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing on our contract. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid in accordance with contract terms. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by Coastal Fresh Cleaning related to the collection process of outstanding balances.
8) Scheduling:
Scheduling in a business which productivity relies upon the weather can be difficult. Inclement weather may affect scheduling. We try our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, however, circumstances that are beyond our control may affect your project start and completion dates. You
will be notified of any changes.
9) Removal & Replacement of Deck Contents:
Removal and replacement of grills, deck furniture, planters, and any other items are the responsibility of the homeowner. Should we need to remove items from the deck, we will not be responsible for any damage, breakage or for storage issues. An additional charge may be applied for the time and labor devoted to the removal of these items.
10) Damages:
Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for damages due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters, and leaders and improper caulking. In every aluminum siding case and in some cases with vinyl siding, the sun and weather will bleach the color or cause fading. Power washing, which entails the removal of chalky, gritty, or failing surface materials may cause the faded aspects of the vinyl or aluminum to stand out. Coastal Fresh Cleaning will not be responsible for such conditions. Coastal Fresh Cleaning will not be responsible for loose mortar that may dislodge during the cleaning process.
11) Stains:
Some stains cannot be removed by power washing. Tree sap, artillery fungus, splatters from stains and paints are examples of materials that cannot be removed by conventional means. We make every attempt to point these areas out to the customer when quoting the project. Sometimes these stains cannot be removed at all.
12) Watertight:
Coastal Fresh Cleaning Services expects your property to be in good repair and weathertight. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical services including receptacles and light textures. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. Coastal Fresh Cleaning Services is not responsible for damages as a result of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical-related items or doors or windows. Coastal Fresh Cleaning cannot guarantee removal of artillery fungus from exterior house surfaces.
13) Window Spotting:
Windows may become water spotted as a result of our services. Window cleaning is NOT included.
14) Concrete:
The appearance of concrete depends on a number of factors most linked to when the concrete was initially poured and cured. When concrete with dirt, mold, mildew, algae and other pollutants and stains is cleaned, the concrete will then reveal any and all imperfections that the pollutants and stains have covered up. The customer understands that not all concrete will look the same even on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or concrete slab.
