1. Agreement
By entering into a contract with Coastal Fresh Cleaning, you are committing to a legally binding agreement for services to be provided at an agreed-upon price. Should you breach this contract, all deposits paid will be forfeited as liquidated damages.
2. Product Warranties
All warranties are limited to those provided by the manufacturers of the products used. Coastal Fresh Cleaning does not offer any additional warranties. If you have any concerns regarding our work, please notify us immediately.
3. Water Usage
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to Coastal Fresh Cleaning using your on-site water supply as necessary to complete the project at no additional cost. If an external water supply is required, additional charges will apply. It is your responsibility to ensure the water supply is operational prior to our arrival. Additional charges will be incurred if water is not available.
4. Electrical Usage
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to Coastal Fresh Cleaning using your on-site electrical supply as necessary to complete the project at no additional cost. If an external electrical supply is required, additional charges will apply.
5. Colour and Tone Concerns
The final color and tone of stains on wood can be affected by the properties and condition of the wood. Variances may occur across individual boards and the overall project due to differences in wood density and other characteristics. Coastal Fresh Cleaning will attempt to represent the final finish as accurately as possible, but some variance should be expected.
6. Courtesy
While Coastal Fresh Cleaning is performing work on your property, you are responsible for keeping children, pets, and other individuals away from the work area. Children and pets must be kept off the work surface for at least 24 hours after completion for safety reasons.
7. Payments
Payments are due according to the contract schedule and must be made by check or cash. All balances are due upon job completion unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Late charges will be applied to all balances not paid in accordance with the contract terms. You agree to cover any collection costs incurred by Coastal Fresh Cleaning for outstanding balances.
8. Scheduling
Scheduling is subject to weather conditions, which may impact project timelines. We strive to minimize scheduling conflicts but cannot control weather-related delays. You will be notified of any changes to your schedule.
9. Removal & Replacement of Deck Contents
The removal and replacement of grills, deck furniture, planters, and other items are the homeowner's responsibility. Coastal Fresh Cleaning will not be liable for damage, breakage, or storage issues if we need to move items from the deck. Additional charges may apply for the time and labor involved in removing these items.
10. Damages
Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for damages resulting from improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters, and leaders, or improper caulking. Power washing may highlight the faded aspects of vinyl or aluminum siding due to the removal of chalky or failing surface materials. We will not be responsible for such conditions or for loose mortar that may dislodge during cleaning.
For owners with a tank water system where water flows from the gutter drain to the tank, it is your responsibility to ensure the flow is redirected to avoid contaminating the tanks. Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any contamination issues.
11. Stains
Some stains, such as tree sap, artillery fungus, and splatters from stains and paints, cannot be removed by power washing. We will make every effort to identify these areas during the quoting process, but some stains may be permanent.
12. Watertight
Your property is expected to be in good repair and weathertight, including all electrical services and fixtures. Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for damages resulting from water infiltration due to poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical-related items or doors and windows. We cannot guarantee the removal of artillery fungus from exterior surfaces.
13. Window Spotting
Windows may become water-spotted as a result of our services. Window cleaning is not included.
14. Concrete
The appearance of concrete after cleaning is influenced by various factors related to its initial pouring and curing. Cleaning may reveal imperfections previously hidden by dirt, mold, mildew, algae, and other pollutants. As a result, concrete on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or slab may not have a uniform appearance.
15. Wood Deck Cleaning and Coatings
1. Scope of Services
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning provides pressure washing services for wood decks but does not guarantee the preservation or integrity of gloss, clear coatings, or specialty finishes on the deck.
• Pressure washing involves the use of water, detergents, and equipment that may affect the appearance or condition of coatings.
2. Disclaimer of Liability
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any damage, deterioration, or changes to gloss or clear-coated surfaces, including but not limited to:
• Peeling, cracking, flaking, or blistering of coatings.
• Loss of sheen, gloss, or finish.
• Discoloration, fading, or uneven appearance of coatings after cleaning.
• Any issues arising from pre-existing conditions, including aged, improperly applied, or low-quality coatings, are solely the responsibility of the property owner.
3. Acknowledgment of Risks
• The property owner acknowledges that pressure washing may negatively impact gloss, clear coatings, or specialty finishes and that such finishes may not withstand the cleaning process.
• By proceeding with services, the property owner accepts all risks associated with the cleaning of coated wood decks.
4. Inspection and Disclosure
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning will conduct a basic visual inspection before cleaning; however, this does not constitute a professional assessment of the deck’s finish, durability, or suitability for cleaning.
• The property owner is required to disclose the presence of gloss, clear coatings, or specialty finishes prior to cleaning. Failure to disclose such coatings releases Coastal Fresh Cleaning from any liability for damage.
5. Limitations of Liability
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning shall not be held liable for:
• Damage to coatings caused by water, detergents, or pressure.
• Any pre-existing weaknesses, imperfections, or vulnerabilities in coatings or the underlying wood.
• Additional costs or repairs needed to reapply or restore coatings after cleaning.
6. Waiver of Claims
• By engaging Coastal Fresh Cleaning, the property owner waives any and all claims for damages, aesthetic changes, or coating failures related to the cleaning process.
• The property owner agrees that Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any loss of value, appearance, or functionality of the deck or its coatings.
7. Coating Maintenance and Repairs
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning does not provide coating restoration, reapplication, or refinishing services. Property owners are responsible for arranging any required maintenance or repairs with a qualified professional after cleaning.

• Neutralizing and rinsing all cleaning solutions thoroughly to minimize residual effects.
The client agrees and acknowledges that these practices meet industry safety standards and accepts that no additional measures are required beyond these practices.
2. No Liability for Health Concerns
While Coastal Fresh Cleaning prioritizes safety, the client agrees that Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any health issues, sensitivities, or reactions to cleaning solutions. Specifically:
• Cleaning solutions used are diluted and comply with all safety standards; any mild odors or vapors are temporary and do not pose significant health risks under normal circumstances.
• Clients with pre-existing health conditions, allergies, or sensitivities assume full responsibility for managing their exposure to cleaning products and for informing Coastal Fresh Cleaning of such concerns prior to service.
The client agrees to indemnify and hold Coastal Fresh Cleaning harmless from any claims, costs, or damages related to health concerns arising from cleaning services.
3. Client Responsibility for Property
The client is fully responsible for ensuring their property is adequately prepared prior to the commencement of services. This includes:
• Ensuring all windows, doors, weep holes, and other openings are properly sealed and waterproofed to prevent water or cleaning solution intrusion.
• Removing or protecting any items, furnishings, plants, or materials in or near the cleaning area that could be affected.
• Disclosing, in writing, any pre-existing vulnerabilities, defects, or conditions on the property that could be impacted by cleaning services.
Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for:
• Damage caused by unsealed openings, structural vulnerabilities, or pre-existing conditions.
• Intrusion of water or cleaning solutions due to inadequate property preparation by the client.
• Damage or loss to items left unprotected by the client.
By engaging our services, the client assumes all responsibility for any risks related to property vulnerabilities and acknowledges that Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for such occurrences.
4. Force Majeure and Environmental Factors
The client agrees that Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for any issues arising from factors outside of its control, including but not limited to:
• Wind, rain, or other weather conditions that may cause overspray or water intrusion.
• Environmental conditions, such as the natural design or limitations of the property (e.g., drainage, weep holes, or structural integrity).
The client accepts that such risks are inherent in outdoor cleaning services and agrees to release Coastal Fresh Cleaning from any claims related to these factors.
5. Limitations of Liability
By engaging Coastal Fresh Cleaning, the client agrees that:
1. Coastal Fresh Cleaning’s total liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
2. Under no circumstances will Coastal Fresh Cleaning be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including property damage or personal injury claims.
This limitation applies to all claims, whether arising from contract, negligence, or any other legal basis.

Policy Enforcement:
This policy is effective immediately and applies to all services provided by Coastal Fresh Cleaning. Coastal Fresh Cleaning reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice to ensure compliance with industry standards and business practices.
Electrical Components and Precautions
Coastal Fresh Cleaning takes all reasonable precautions to avoid water exposure to electrical components during the cleaning process. However, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following:

• The client is responsible for ensuring all external electrical outlets, power points, light fixtures, fans, and other electrical components are adequately protected and waterproofed prior to the commencement of services.
• If the property has exposed or improperly sealed electrical items, the client must notify Coastal Fresh Cleaning in advance and take steps to mitigate risks.
2. Exclusions of Liability:
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for damage to electrical components, such as outdoor outlets, ceiling fans, or lighting fixtures, that are not properly sealed or waterproofed by the client.
• Water intrusion into electrical components resulting from pre-existing vulnerabilities, improper installation, or lack of maintenance is the sole responsibility of the client.
3. Recommendations:
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning recommends that clients inspect and, if necessary, waterproof any outdoor electrical items before the cleaning service.
• Power to external electrical outlets or devices should be turned off as a precaution prior to the start of the cleaning process.
4. Force Majeure:
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for damage or malfunction of electrical systems caused by uncontrollable factors, such as wind, rain, or previously undetected issues with the electrical installation.
By engaging Coastal Fresh Cleaning’s services, the client acknowledges these conditions and accepts all risks related to electrical components on the property.
Waterproofing and Liability

• Coastal Fresh Cleaning provides exterior cleaning services, including pressure washing, soft washing, and related treatments.
• These services strictly do not include waterproofing, sealing, or repairing surfaces unless explicitly outlined in a signed and written agreement prior to service.
2. Property Owner’s Responsibility
• It is the sole responsibility of the property owner to ensure that all surfaces, structures, and areas to be cleaned are fully waterproofed, sealed, and prepared for pressure washing services.
• Property owners must disclose any known vulnerabilities, including but not limited to cracks, deteriorated materials, or areas prone to water ingress, prior to the commencement of services.
3. Disclaimer of Liability for Waterproofing
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning assumes no responsibility or liability for water penetration, leaks, or damage caused to surfaces or interiors due to inadequate sealing, lack of waterproofing, or pre-existing vulnerabilities.
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any damage to unsealed or improperly waterproofed surfaces during or after the cleaning process.
4. Inspection Limitations
• Any visual inspection conducted by Coastal Fresh Cleaning before service is strictly limited to operational requirements and does not constitute a professional assessment of waterproofing, structural integrity, or the condition of the property.
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning does not guarantee the suitability of any surface for pressure washing.
5. Limitations of Liability

8. No Guarantee of Waterproofing
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning provides no warranty or guarantee regarding the water resistance, sealing, or waterproofing of any surface before, during, or after the cleaning process.
9. Third-Party Waterproofing Services
• If waterproofing is required, it is the property owner’s responsibility to hire a qualified third-party contractor. Coastal Fresh Cleaning may provide referrals upon request but assumes no liability for the work or performance of third-party service providers.
10. Acceptance of Terms
• By booking and utilizing services from Coastal Fresh Cleaning, the property owner confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in full.

3. Pre-Service Inspection and Disclosure
• Coastal Fresh Cleaning will perform a general visual inspection before service; however, this is not a comprehensive evaluation of the property’s condition.
• It is the property owner’s responsibility to disclose any concerns or known vulnerabilities, including but not limited to:

• Loose or deteriorated areas on or around the deck.
• Nearby materials or structures that may be affected by water or pressure.

Problem Areas
In certain cases, no amount of cleaning can rectify specific problem areas in your property. The 7 Days Return Guarantee is void in these instances after a cleaning attempt has been made. Examples include:

Terms and Conditions for Window Cleaning Services
1. Agreement
By engaging Coastal Fresh Cleaning for window cleaning services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This agreement forms a legally binding contract between you (the client) and Coastal Fresh Cleaning.
2. Service Description
Our window cleaning services include the removal of dirt, grime, and other debris from the exterior surfaces of your windows. Basic window cleaning may leave minor water spots; for a more thorough clean, we recommend our advanced window cleaning services which utilize filtered water to eliminate streaks and spots.

To ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process, clients are responsible for the following preparations:

Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for pre-existing conditions such as loose or damaged window frames, improperly sealed windows, or any existing damage to property. We take every precaution to protect your property, but cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from these conditions. Additionally, the client acknowledges that window screens can be brittle and Coastal Fresh Cleaning will not be responsible for any damage to screens that are not removed by the client.
5. Environmental Conditions
Our cleaning solutions are formulated to be safe for all types of window materials and will not cause discoloration or damage. However, factors such as weather conditions and the presence of contaminants like mold or debris may affect the immediate appearance post-cleaning. Any residues observed after cleaning, such as from weep holes, will typically wash away with natural elements like rain or morning dew.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Late payments may incur additional charges as stipulated in the contract. Invoices overdue by more than 60 days will be referred to a debt collection agency, and additional fees will apply.
7. Warranty and Claims
All warranties are limited to those provided by the manufacturers of the cleaning products used. Coastal Fresh Cleaning offers no additional warranties. Any concerns regarding the quality of our work must be reported immediately for us to address.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
9. Disclaimer
Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the provision of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property or personal injury.

Builders Clean
Progress Payment Policy:
To ensure a seamless flow of business operations, Coastal Fresh Cleaning requires progress payments at seven-day intervals. Clients are kindly requested to adhere to this policy by making the necessary payments by the specified due date.
Private Customer Policy:
Private clients, defined as those without an ABN and an Australian builder’s license, are required to pay a 50% deposit prior to commencement of services.
Cancellation Policy:
If Coastal Fresh Cleaning is required to halt operations or is unable to complete the assigned task due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., ongoing work by other trades), we reserve the right to charge for the resulting inconvenience. This may include costs associated with travel time, setup, pack-down, and the opportunity cost for each staff member affected.
Workspace Policy:
A clear and unobstructed workspace is required, with all trades having completed their tasks, to allow our team to perform their duties efficiently. If the workspace is not ready, resulting in reduced efficiency of our team, additional charges may apply.
Exclusions Policy:
Our quoted services do not include the removal of excessive residue left by substandard workmanship, such as silicone, paint, render, concrete, and mortar. Should such residues be present, our supervisor will assess the situation, and additional charges may apply if extra time is needed for removal.
Damage Policy:
Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable for any damage to property, including but not limited to joinery, floors, walls, windows, or window frames, resulting from the cleaning process. We exercise the utmost care and implement preventative measures to minimize damage; however, damage often occurs due to the removal of excessive residues. Special caution is used when cleaning ‘toughened glass’, ‘comfortplus’ glass, and similar materials. Glass should always be protected from installation, and the protective covering should only be removed by the window cleaner.
Payment Policy:
Timely payments are crucial for a smooth operational process. Please ensure payments are made by the due date specified on your invoice to avoid penalties. Coastal Fresh Cleaning may seek and recover the following costs from the customer:

Short Notice Conditions:
Typically, Coastal Fresh Cleaning requires at least seven business days' notice to allocate resources effectively. For requests with less than three business days' notice, a 50% deposit may be required to reschedule existing commitments.
Any rectification must be completed within 7 days of service. Photos of the affected areas must be provided, and photos showing proof of completion will be supplied afterwards.
Acceptance:
Proceeding with our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Actions such as explicit language, racism, and defamatory remarks will result in immediate termination of Services without a refund, and we reserve the right to pursue legal action. In the event of a breach of this agreement by the Client, any deposits paid will be forfeited as damages. Client/Client Nominee or You: Any individual or entity purchasing services from Coastal Fresh Cleaning.
We/Us: Coastal Fresh Cleaning or an authorized contractor approved by Coastal Fresh Cleaning.
Services/Service: Any cleaning service requested by the Client.
Terms and Conditions: The terms outlined in this document and any conditions agreed upon in writing by Us.
Cleaner/Cleaners: Any person performing cleaning services on behalf of Us.
Heavily Soiled: Excessive grime, dust, or dirt present beyond typical residential levels.
Managing Agent: The agent managing the rental property, such as a real estate agent.
Property: The property requiring an Exit Clean.
Exit Cleaning Standards: The cleanliness level necessary to pass the Managing Agent's inspection under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Act 2008 and release the bond to the Client.
Reasonable Endeavours: Our best efforts to make informed decisions based on the available information at any given time.
General
These Terms and Conditions govern all contracts for the supply of Services by Us to the Client and take precedence over any other Client documentation or communication.
Inappropriate Behaviour
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behaviour towards our staff or contractors. This includes harassment, intimidation, threats, or any form of abuse (verbal, written, or physical). Actions such as explicit language, racism, and defamatory remarks will result in immediate termination of Services without a refund, and We reserve the right to pursue legal action. By engaging our Services, You agree to this policy and waive any claim to a refund in such circumstances.
Pricing
Private Customer Policy: A 50% deposit is required for private clients who do not hold an ABN.
Quotes: All quotes are estimates based on an average well-maintained property and room sizes. We strive to provide accurate quotes but reserve the right to adjust them based on:
Discrepancies between the Client's description and the actual property.
Heavily soiled conditions requiring extra time or chemicals.
Specialist services needed for certain areas.
Additional costs incurred (e.g., parking fees, key collection fees).
Changes to the Client's original requirements.
Rubbish or personal effects removal.
If a quote variation is necessary, We will contact You for written consent before commencing the additional work. Failure to agree to a quote variation may void the 7 Days Return Guarantee for the affected areas.
Access to the Property
The Client must be contactable at all times and especially 1 hour before the job starts. Failure to be contacted may result in an incomplete job and void any warranty. Any return visit to complete the job will incur additional fees.
The Client is responsible for providing access to the Property. If access is not available at the agreed time, a non-access fee of $60.20 per hour up to the total job cost will apply.
Key collection locations must be agreed upon in writing and may incur additional charges based on distance.
Our Cleaners need unencumbered access to all areas requiring service.
The Client agrees to allow photographic and video recording of the Property for quality assurance purposes.
The Client must provide access to electricity and running water. Without these, the 7 Days Return Guarantee is void.
The Client must move heavy items (over 5kg) prior to the service. Failure to do so voids the 7 Days Return Guarantee for those areas.
Personal belongings and rubbish must be removed from the premises. Failure to do so may void the Exit Cleaning Guarantee. Negotiations for rubbish removal can be arranged at additional cost.
7 Days Return Guarantee
The 7 Days Return Guarantee ensures We will rectify any issues identified by the Managing Agent within 7 days of service, provided they fall within the bounds of these Terms and Conditions.
Deep stains requiring third-party cleaning are excluded.
A re-clean will be scheduled upon receipt of a detailed report from the Managing Agent.
Re-cleans will address only the issues listed in the report.
Post re-clean, the work is warranted for one day unless otherwise agreed in writing. If no further issues are reported within 24 hours, the job is considered complete.
The 7 Days Return Guarantee is void if the property does not remain vacant after our cleaning.
Exit Cleans should be scheduled after all furniture is removed and any necessary maintenance is completed.
Acts of God (e.g., floods, storms, fires) are not covered by the Guarantee.
Some areas or items may be beyond cleaning due to permanent damage or wear and tear, voiding the Guarantee for those areas.
There may be instances where no amount of cleaning can rectify certain problem areas in your property. In such cases, the 7 Days Return Guarantee is void after a cleaning attempt has been made. Examples include, but are not limited to:

Permanent hard water stains
Permanent wall marks
Permanent window marks
Mold
Rusting
Grease stains
Heavy odors

By moving into the property, whether as an owner or tenant, the individual acknowledges and accepts the property’s condition as presented by Coastal Fresh Cleaning. This acceptance serves as confirmation of the following terms:
1. Final Inspection and Condition Agreement
Any inspections or final cleaning assessments conducted before move-in have been reviewed, and both parties have agreed upon the property’s condition. Unless otherwise documented and communicated in writing to Coastal Fresh Cleaning prior to occupancy, the property is considered satisfactory. By accepting occupancy, the individual acknowledges the property’s condition “as is.”
2. Waiver of Further Claims
Upon move-in, the owner or tenant waives any right to request additional cleaning, adjustments, or touch-ups concerning the property’s condition, except in cases where specific, additional services were explicitly agreed upon in the contract. Coastal Fresh Cleaning is not liable to return to the property for any re-cleaning or adjustments based on post-occupancy preferences or observations.
3. Assumption of Responsibility for Property Condition
From the time of occupancy, the individual assumes full responsibility for the property’s cleanliness, upkeep, and ongoing maintenance. Coastal Fresh Cleaning disclaims any liability for condition changes, perceived deficiencies, or issues arising after the move-in date. Any matters concerning the property’s condition must be raised before occupancy to avoid any future claims or misunderstandings.
4. Terms Modification for Future Services
Coastal Fresh Cleaning reserves the right to amend these terms for future services or engagements, with any changes communicated directly to clients as applicable.
